Instant Threat Notifications
Time is the most critical factor during a breach. Get notified within seconds of a critical vulnerability discovery.
Reduce Your Mean Time To Remediation (MTTR)
When a zero-day vulnerability affects a critical dependency in your stack, every single minute counts. Relying on an engineer to manually log into a dashboard once a week is not a scalable incident response strategy.
FortPilot integrates seamlessly with your existing communication channels. Configure granular routing rules: send low-severity information to an email digest, but instantly page the on-call engineer in Slack or PagerDuty for CVSS 9.0+ critical findings.
What are Real-Time Security Alerts?
Real-time alerts act as the connective tissue between automated security scanning and your incident response team. They ensure that actionable security intelligence reaches the right people immediately.
Supported Integrations
Slack & Microsoft Teams
Send formatted, interactive cards directly into your engineering channels. Developers can click a button in Slack to view the vulnerable code snippet immediately.
PagerDuty & Opsgenie
For high-severity or critical vulnerabilities, bypass chat channels and trigger phone calls or SMS alerts to your on-call incident responders.
How to Configure Alerts
- Connect the app: Authorize the FortPilot app in your Slack workspace or provide a Microsoft Teams webhook URL.
- Set severity thresholds: Configure the integration to only trigger on 'High' or 'Critical' vulnerabilities to avoid alert fatigue.
- Assign channels: Route backend vulnerabilities to the #backend-engineering channel and frontend issues to #frontend.
- Test the integration: Fire a test alert to ensure your team's notification settings are correct.
Real-Time Alerts FAQ
How do you prevent alert fatigue?
Alert fatigue is dangerous. We strongly recommend configuring thresholds so you are only pinged for High/Critical issues, while Low/Medium issues are batched into a weekly email digest.
What data is included in the alert?
Alerts include the vulnerability name, CVSS severity score, the exact URL affected, a brief description, and a direct link to the remediation guide.
Can I route alerts based on the project?
Yes. You can configure Project A to alert one Slack channel, and Project B to alert a completely different department.
Key Capabilities
Multi-Channel Routing
Native, out-of-the-box integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and Email.
Granular Thresholds
Only get pinged when it matters. Filter alerts by specific CVSS severity levels.
Context-Rich Messages
Alert payloads include direct links, affected endpoints, and immediate remediation steps.
Incident Response Paging
Integrates with PagerDuty and Opsgenie to wake up on-call engineers during critical zero-day events.
Project-Based Routing
Route alerts to different teams based on which microservice or project was scanned.
Digest Modes
Batch low-severity warnings into a daily or weekly summary to reduce noise.
